McGREGOR GATHERINGS

McGregor Gatherings are a different kind of weekday escape. The space is warm, intelligent, slightly irreverent and grown-up.

Every Monday, a small group of 6–12 people arrives at Chalcedony, a beautiful country house in McGregor.

Some come with a friend.
Some as couples.
Some come completely alone.

For four days, we cook and eat together. We light fires. We walk in the mountains. We play music, cards, board games and charades. We swim. We braai. We look at the stars. We open bottles of wine and stay at the table far longer than intended.

There might be a guest speaker one day. Someone might suggest yoga one morning. Someone else might disappear into the garden with a book.

Nothing is compulsory.

This isn't a retreat.

There is nothing to achieve, fix, cleanse, perform or transform.

It's simply an opportunity to step out of ordinary life for a few days and spend time with interesting people.

And definitely bring a sense of humour.
